Privacy policy.
This policy explains what Prompt Foundry processes when you create, edit, save, compare, export, or delete a software-engineering prompt.
Information processed
We process the idea you submit, selected prompt type, generated prompt, saved revisions, provider and model identifiers, word and character counts, timestamps, and a random browser-session identifier. Do not submit passwords, API keys, private source code, or other secrets.
How information is used
Information is used to generate prompts, display browser-session history, save revisions, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and operate the service. Prompt contents are not used for advertising or sold.
AI providers
Your idea and selected prompt type are sent to the AI provider configured by the site operator. That provider processes the request under its own terms and privacy policy. Provider credentials are kept on the server and are never sent to your browser.
Storage and retention
Completed prompts and revisions are retained for up to 30 days by default. Failed-generation records are retained for up to 7 days and do not contain generated prompt content. The operator may configure shorter periods. You can delete one prompt or clear all history at any time.
Cookies
Prompt Foundry uses one signed, HTTP-only, same-site cookie to associate saved prompts with this browser. It is necessary for history and deletion controls, is inaccessible to frontend JavaScript, and expires after one year. No advertising cookies are used.
Operational data
Server logs may record a request ID, route, HTTP method, status, duration, and a rate-limit identifier derived from an IP address. Prompt contents are not written to request logs. If error monitoring is enabled, technical error details may be processed by the configured monitoring provider.
Analytics and performance
We may collect privacy-focused page views, device and browser categories, performance measurements, and feature events such as generating, copying, exporting, refining, or favoriting a prompt. Submitted ideas, generated prompt text, tags, folder names, and library searches are not included in analytics events. No advertising analytics cookies are used.
Your choices
Use the Delete control to remove the active prompt and all revisions, or Clear history to remove everything associated with the current browser session. Exported files stay on your device and are not uploaded again.
Security and contact
We use transport security, signed sessions, input limits, access checks, and rate limiting, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. For privacy requests, use the operator contact information published with the deployment or in its public repository.
